Rain, Rain, Don’t Go Away!
Pretty sure all the rain proves that God is a frustrated Mets fan, too.
The World Series is scheduled to start tonight and it’s a Mets fan worse nightmare. I have no doubt in my mind that every Met fan ever used up all of their baseball wishes the night the ball went through Buckners’ legs. You would have to convince me otherwise.
But that’s cool. Maybe it will rain for the next few weeks and they’ll just call off this years series. That’s the only way this will not suck. It reminds me of the Giants Patriots Super Bowl a few years back. As a Jet fan, there was nothing good that could come out of it. Either the cheaters win and complete an undefeated season or the Giants come in and take care of what the rest of the league could not do all year. It was a great game, but it still was like a 4 hour kick in the groin.
So, what to do with this series? I can not watch, which is entirely possible. I can secretly root for injuries, which I will not do because that’s not my style. I can definitely not look at facebook during the game and watch the irrational status update mood swings of Yankee fans from pitch to pitch. I’ve had just enough of that.
What I’ll probably do what any other rational Met fan would do. Be in extreme denial! Big night in sports tonight! Islanders vs. Rangers!!! Time to start disliking another faction of stupid fans. Go ‘ders!

Islands vs Ranger for you, Hornets vs Spurs (season opener) for me…
